In a nod towards the upcoming change of season there has been a notable shift in the weather over the last week and I’m sure that I am not the only one out there to be turning the heating on. According to the BBC weather reports we will be having “sunny intervals and a gentle breeze” for the foreseeable future so it’s time to start layering up.
But just because it’s getting colder out there and the kids are heading back to school this doesn’t mean that it is an end to the fun activities that can be done in Southend. Check out www.VisitSouthend.co.uk for a variety of ideas to keep you inspired.
At Southend BID we’re making plans for the upcoming months with our businesses that will continue to welcome people back to our town and one of these activities is the return of Southend Cocktail Week. Last year was our first ever event and it showcased a range of venues that each offered a signature cocktail for the bargain price of £5. Some of the cocktails in the line-up included The Dead Spicy Finger from The Royal Hotel, the Seaside Sling from Mangetout and a Dark and Stormy Port from the Pipe of Port.
Southend Cocktail Week is a great opportunity for businesses to reach a new audience or to keep regular customers coming back for more. It is also the perfect chance to reassure customers that a good night out can still be had even with all the COVID secure safety procedures that have been put in place.
More details of the event will be announced in due course. If you have a business that would like to get involved in this year’s trail then get in touch at ‘hello@SouthendBID.com’
