Two of the Street Rangers, alongside a member of Boots’ security team, have assisted with the capture of a group of shoplifters operating in both the Royals and Victoria shopping centres.
The group, who have also been targeting other Boots stores across the country, distract members of staff to allow for a further two individuals to conceal stolen items worth thousands. They have now been arrested and remain in custody.
The Street Ranger team are always on hand to welcome visitors to the town, as well as assisting the police and businesses in cutting crime and anti-social behaviour.
