Southend Festival of Wheels is a huge success

Southend Festival of Wheels – the first event of its kind in Southend-on-Sea – took place on Sunday and was a huge success among both businesses and visitors. We have received a great deal of positive feedback, with many BID businesses reporting that they were busier in comparison to a usual day of trading on Sunday and that profits were higher than than of the same time last year.

BID Manager Alison Dewey, said: “It was a fantastic event and we’ve had so much positive feedback. Footfall was high across the seafront and town centre. The festival was really well received by visitors and local businesses, with one firm reporting a 29% increase in customers.”

We have issued a post-event press release which detailing the event’s triumphs and and affirming why it is a welcome addition to the town. A copy can be found here.
