Southend Cocktail Week returns this Friday!

This year’s Southend Cocktail Week is set to take place from Friday 22nd October – Sunday 31st October. Marking Southend BID’s third annual cocktail celebration, a wonderful range of local businesses will be participating, creating delicious cocktails for everyone attending the much-anticipated event.

Southend BID have now announced which venues will be involved with Southend Cocktail Week, alongside the tasty drinks they’ll be excitedly preparing for those who attend. These venues are as follows: The Borough Hotel, Caddies Golf, Genting Casino, Grosvenor Casino, Love Thy Burger, Mangetout, Molo Lounge, Moo Moo, Park Inn Palace, Revolution and The Royal Hotel.

Among the scrumptious cocktails set to be launched are a number of unmissable

creations; The Borough Hotel’s ‘Coconut Surprise’, Grosvenor Casino’s ‘Vanilla Mocha Martini’, Mangetout’s ‘Mighty Mango Mojito’ and Revolution’s ‘Loosey Goosey’ for example all showcase delicious flavours and cocktail-making flare. Southend Cocktail Week will inspire fun, creativity and the celebration of our town’s night-time economy, attracting locals and visitors from far and wide.

Meanwhile, several of these participating venues will be hosting simultaneous offers as part of Southend Cocktail Week. Caddies Golf will be launching a range of sinister Halloween cocktail specials (2 for 1 on Friday nights), Grosvenor Casino will be hosting a shot menu that includes iconic ‘Jammy Donut’ and ‘Skittle Bomb’ options, Mangetout’s cocktails will be available at 2 for £14 all day every day, Molo Lounge will be offering two cocktails for £9.95 from 3pm, Moo Moo’s ‘5 Sourz shots for £7’ will be served on skull paddles during their Neon Fright Nights, Revolution will be offering 2 for £10 on cocktails and, finally, at the Royal Hotel customers can enjoy any 2 cocktails for £10 from 6pm-9pm. Discussing Southend Cocktail Week’s growing appeal and all that’s in store for those who attend, Southend BID Manager Ashley Oglina-Beecham says:

"We are very lucky to live in a town that’s filled with such an eclectic variety of nightlife and entertainment venues; they go above and beyond to create enjoyable experiences for their customers and since COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, their enthusiasm and passion has sky-rocketed.

Southend BID are thrilled to be supporting these businesses through Southend Cocktail Week, an event that will undoubtedly attract widespread appeal. Creating invaluable footfall for these venues, whilst allowing every customer to relax with a delicious cocktail in hand, Southend Cocktail Week certainly promises to fulfil more than one purpose. We would however like to emphasise that enjoying Southend Cocktail Week safely is of paramount importance. Whilst we want everyone to have fun, it’s equally important that alcohol is consumed sensibly."

Meanwhile, George Bejko-Cowlbeck, owner of Caddies, says:

‘Southend Cocktail Week is always a hit so we’re overjoyed it’s returning to the town this year. We will be creating a range of tasty cocktails for our guests, showcasing our staff’s abilities and our love for exotic, unique flavours as a forward-thinking business.

After a difficult year for the nightlife industry, we can’t wait to celebrate our return with the entire community!’
