Southend BID are delighted to announce the return of our annual firework displays this autumn. From Saturday 8th October until the 19th November (running every consecutive Saturday), these displays will once again light up Southend’s iconic seafront.
Southend is known for its exceptional firework displays and this year’s offerings will be no different. With the help of local businesses Dynamic Fireworks and Mike’s Boatyard, who play a tremendous role in creating these events each year, Southend BID are determined to host shows that continue to exceed onlookers’ expectations.
These firework displays will begin at 19:30 every Saturday throughout this period. 7 displays in total will be open to guests from far and wide, with the last display coinciding with Southend’s equally popular Christmas light switch-on. On this day (19th November), guests can enjoy a day and night filled with wonderful celebrations.
Discussing the upcoming firework displays, Southend BID Manager Ashley Oglina-Beecham has said:
‘The entire committee is thrilled to be hosting Southend’s renowned fireworks once again this year. Our priority is to position the city as a sought-after travel and leisure destination and that certainly won’t diminish when summer comes to an end; the autumn and winter months give rise to a number of exciting holidays that we’re eager to celebrate as a community.
Every year our firework displays receive fantastic reviews; we know they’re something that residents of Southend and visitors alike look forward to, so they were of course a key consideration. We hope that everyone who attends will enjoy the fireworks and continue to visit Southend throughout the winter period – we have lots of fun events planned that you won’t want to miss!’
