As a local business operating in Southend, you are invited to celebrate Small Business Saturday on Saturday 2nd December. In conjunction with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, the national campaign is designed to encourage consumers to buy locally. To promote your business and the event itself, register online here.
In addition, you are invited to take part in the Christmas competition which also launches on this day. Simply decorate your business for Christmas, send a picture to economicd@southend.gov.uk and gain votes. A leaflet is available to place in your premises to encourage visitors and consumers to vote and will be sent to businesses who send in their photo and details. Once your picture has been received, your business will be promoted heavily via its website and social media channels. The business with the most public votes will win the title of Best Dressed Window, with a winner from each borough awarded two vouchers for Cream Tea at Gleneagles Guesthouse. An overall winner will also be chosen to receive a free promotional video produced and donated by Blatella Productions.

Votes will counted and the winner will be announced on Visit Southend’s Facebook page on Tuesday 19th December at 12pm. A date/time will be arranged for prize collection. If the winner cannot be contacted, another draw will be made. Businesses that share photos via Visit Southend’s Facebook page give permission for their pictures and business to be used in promotional material. This competition is open to all residents of the UK. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
