Southend BID has deployed more Street Rangers to patrol the BID Zone throughout the busy month of December.
We know that the run up to Christmas and beyond can be hectic for retailers, hospitality businesses, night time economy businesses and more as we navigate our way through the festive season.
Sadly, it can also mean more rough sleeping, begging, anti-social behaviour, shop theft and more.
For this reason, Southend BID will be deploying THREE Street Rangers on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout December, and have been doing so since Monday 6th December. Two Street Rangers will still be present on the Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
We hope this measure continues to have a positive effect on the zone and its businesses, supporting the local community and visitors and deterring any criminal behaviour.
